Unicorns do exist… at Humboldt Seed! Pistachio was the frostiest strain at our Eastern Humboldt anchor breeding facility during our 2019 phenotype mega-hunt. IT also has an impressively pungent nutty/gassy nose with pistachio ice cream undertones. Growth habits are similar to the cookies genre but with an improvement in trichome content and yield. Expect tall upright growth with strong stalks requiring less than average trellising. Pistachio is a mold-resistant strain, suited for fall season outdoor, indoor, or even light dep (as always, drop light hours gradually when transitioning into flower). Humboldt Seed Company’s Pistachio is 65% indica and was created by crossing Fortune Cookies with P-61. Pistachio has much improved resin-production and yields comapred with other Cookies-family strains.
Pistachio grows quite tall with strong stems that won’t need much, if any, support or training unless for reasons of restricted height in the growing environment. This is a hardy, mould-resistant strain that handles damp autumn conditions outdoors very well. Indoors, a gradual reduction in lighting hours in the latter stages of flowering will enahnce its speed of maturation.
Flowering indoors takes about 65 days while outdoor, northern hemisphere harvests will be ready during the first two weeks of October. A marked scent of nuts and fuel has notes of pistachio ice cream. THC levels of 24 – 28% make this a highly potent strain.
